I migliori dolci francesi da provare!

Finally, the long-awaited article has arrived!

Let’s start right away, how many days does it take to try the best pastry shops in Paris?

I, personally, would lose my whole life, I go back to Paris once a year, whether it’s for a stopover or as a hobby, every excuse is good to set foot in the city of lights.

In my opinion, if you find a low cost flight, take it! Paris in 3 days is enough to give it a taste!!

How to get to Paris?

The best and cheapest method in my experience remains the plane.

In any case, if you book well in advance and keep an eye on the offers, you can use the train.

When to go to Paris?

It depends what you want from this city, the best times are spring and Christmas, in my opinion.

Now, having made this preamble of common questions, let’s start with what is within my competence or rather with what I am passionate about: sweets and pastry shops.

In this article I want to tell you which are the best patisseries in Paris, but as you will see there will not be an absolute winner, but there will be many winners, each on a specific dessert.

Pierre Hermé

The best croissant in Paris – Pierre Hermé

After wandering through the illuminated streets of this city, enjoying various pain au chocolats and butter croissants, I, without a doubt, have reached what for me is the perfect croissant!

Pierre Hermé has shops scattered throughout the city, the only flaw is that they are mainly a pret-a-porter shop, then take away. Despite this, I am willing to give up the cappuccino, or take a takeaway cappuccino as well and go buy the croissant from him and then eat it maybe in the Luxembourg gardens on a green chair.

The croissant I speak of is Ispahan composed of a crazy combination: roses, raspberries and lychees.

Delicate, sweet, romantic and light. The taste knows how to surprise you because it is not the usual croissant.

He managed to reproduce the flavor that one of his macarons can give you, but inside a soft butter paste.

Angelina a Parigi

Best hot chocolate and best chestnut cream: Angelina in Paris

More than seven years ago I met this pastry and the tea room for the first time, today Angelina has expanded too and presents many pastry shops scattered throughout Paris.

Angelina is tradition, she cannot surprise you with sensational combinations but she manages to amaze you with the simplicity with which she maintains a classic vanilla cream, making it the best you have ever eaten.

His tearoom is the oldest.

What are the sweets that deserve to be eaten here and not elsewhere?

Angelina’s hot chocolate
Yes, the chocolate must be taken here there is no doubt! Cream as an always perfect accompaniment.

Angelina’s mont blanc
I repeat and repeat myself, the chestnut cream is a must in this pastry shop, so its chestnut desserts remain the best and most unbeatable.

Another unmissable dessert here is the Mille-Feuille

Angelina’s vanilla cream is a combination of a Chantilly cream and pure vanilla drops… it’s just crazy. The pasta is crunchy and with the right amount of layers to be worthy of the name Mille-Feuille!

Angelina a Parigi

Let’s now pass to Ladurèe.

I’ll tell you a secret: for a quiet breakfast, go to the one at the Champs Elysèe.

The tea room is very large and has bright windows that directly overlook the city’s most famous tree-lined avenue

Ladurée beats the others on the menu, in the sense that in my opinion it has the best and most varied breakfast package, plus the infusions it offers are certainly the best.

But I decree Ladurè’s flagship dessert his tarte tatin, apple pie, well… the touch that makes the difference?

It is served slightly warm and when they bring it to the table the scent of cooked apples begins to rise upwards and meets your nose and will draw your eyes down to find it, the cake.

Odette Parigi

Odette Paris, the best cream puffs.

This description does not require many words, they are simple cream puffs but their filling and their pasta has no equal, so for those who do not just want simple cream puffs, but want the best, get ready, because once you will taste them you will no longer be able to settle for the usual cream puffs!

le migliori pasticcerie di Parigi Cafè Pouchkine

Le Cafè Pouchkine

This tea room is located on a border line between France and Russia, I would define the environment as very beautiful and evocative, the desserts are aesthetically as very particular they recall Russia; the taste maybe slightly too sugary for my taste.

Odette Parigi

Odette Paris, i migliori bignè.

I migliori macarons a Parigi

We now come to a sore and complex point: macarons!

Without too much delay, I declare Pierre Hermé as the absolute winner. And I tell you that now even the price is fine with me.

Yes, this man has a gift, both when it comes to cooking, the thickness and the balance between the inside and the macarons itself, and for the daring and enterprising combinations he creates.

I tell you, the last ones I tasted seemed impossible and instead they will convince you that opposites attract.

Here are my favorites:

  • Montebello: pistachio and raspberries

  • Mogador: chocolate and passion fruit
  • Pomposa: chestnuts and roses
  • Caviar Petrossian: caviar and walnut liqueur

However, if you want a rose macaron or with fresh raspberries inside, without a doubt you have to go to Ladurèe.

If you want a chestnut macaron… well, as I said earlier, go to Angelina.

Pasticcerie Pret à porter

Finally I just want to update you on which are the best patisseries in Paris that are innovative, creative and absolutely designed for take away!

Eclair de Génie: the pastry chef is a genius of eclairs, new tastes, with an exotic and Asian influence, bright colors, brilliant personalization ideas, simple and practical to eat while walking.

Michalak: then this man is to be applauded for his so-called Fantastik cakes… cakes that look like paintings on canvas with sac a poche.
If I had to make or take a cake for several people or the perfect birthday cake I would go to him!

Last but not least, I discovered two places with great Asian derivations: they are called Maison Aleph and Sadaharu Aoki.

Maison Aleph: it does something strange and innovative, that is, it uses phyllo dough to make desserts, typically something that we Westerners know salty. The desserts remain light, not fried at all, unusual… really unusual.

Sadaharu Aoki: he managed to bring Japan to Paris, many desserts with matcha tea and yuzu, as per Japanese rigor and the typically French shapes and beauty suitable for a city like Paris.

Paris for disabled people

I conclude the article by saying which of these pastry shops are accessible and also have an adequate bathroom!

I am sure of three patisseries, below the names and streets of those without barriers and with accessible bathrooms.

  • Angelina Paris, 222 rue de Rivoli
  • Ladurée, 75 Avenue des Champs Elysées
  • Pierre Hermé, 61 rue Bonaparte
